What types of events does your company specialize in?

Weddings make up over 95% of the business booked with us. The other 5% of events are business functions, private parties, and holiday parties. Electrifying Dynamics does not book children’s parties, graduation parties, bars, or nightclubs.

How would you define your “style”?

Many DJs think that it is their job to put on a show and be the center of attention at the reception. That is not us. We firmly believe that your wedding is your day, and we will not take the attention away from that.. Our DJs are trained to be Emcee’s for your event as well, however there will be no endless chatter on the microphone from us. We know there is nothing worse than trying to enjoy a song and have it talked over the entire time. We play a large array of music ranging from the 60’s to today’s top hits. We take requests all evening from guests and will mix those songs in, as well as your favorite music you put together beforehand with our five page wedding worksheet. We do not run “set lists” unless requested by you prior to the event, each and every song is hand picked throughout the evening!

I don’t want traditional wedding music. Is that ok?

Absolutely. We’re here to play the music you request, and to keep your guests on the dance floor all night. We are not the typical “wedding DJ” company that plays the chicken dance on repeat, if at all. Because lets be honest, who truly likes that song anyway!? We hire young professionals that are well rounded in all genres of music, so if you don’t want loveshack, either do we.

Do you offer sound for ceremony services?

We’re happy to provide top of the line sound equipment and microphones for your wedding ceremony, as well as music. From indoor ceremonies, to outdoor ceremonies, we have you covered!


How involved can we be in selecting music for our event?

Simply put, as much as you would like to be! If you would like to select each and every song, we are more than happy to setup a playlist in your own specific order . On the other hand, if you want us to take it and run with it, we have you covered there too. We pride ourselves on listening to our brides and grooms and respecting their input. With our company, you will never hear songs you have asked not to be played, or genres you’ve told us you don’t like.

How big is your music library and what kinds of music do you have?

Electrifying Dynamics has a massive library of music, with access to over 26 million songs. If we do not have something you or your guests are asking for, we will accommodate your request by purchasing the songs through online music stores, free of charge to you. With how vast the internet is, we can almost guarantee that we will be able to accommodate any request.

How experienced and trained are your DJs?

Every team member through Electrifying Dynamics has been trained to run events by the owner himself. Each team member has spent one full wedding season shadowing Nick (owner) at a minimum of 15-20 weddings. Being a smaller company allows for this to be possible, even through the growth of the company. Each employee has been playing music with Electrifying Dynamics professionally for 2 or more years, with the shadowing season on top of it. We would never send an inexperienced DJ to your wedding.


How much do you charge?

Since every wedding is unique, pricing can vary depending on the details of the date, time, and location of your event. Once you send us an inquiry, we can send out an appropriate bid for your wedding.

How far do you travel?

Electrifying Dynamics is based out of the Brainerd Lakes Area and will travel for events all over Minnesota, some parts of Wisconsin, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Iowa. Trip charges are applied when the event location exceeds a 90 mile radius of Baxter, Mn. Those trip charges will be figured into the bid sent out to you, so you won’t have to worry about any unexpected up charges along the way.

Do you ask for a deposit along with booking my date?

We ask for a nonrefundable reservation retainer of $200.00 upon booking. That $200.00 is already figured into the package price we gave you with our bid. The remaining balance payment for your wedding is due 30 days prior to your event. All payments are made via credit/debit card through Square.

Do you require anything from my venue?

We require at least one power outlet (120-volt, 15-amp circuit) and an area of at least 8 feet, by 4 feet for our equiptment. We do not require a table or chair, as we bring our own.

Are you insured?

Electrifying Dynamics has a general liability insurance policy with a coverage value of $1,000,000. We are happy to provide you or your venue with a copy of our insurance policy upon request.


What kind of equipment do you use?

All of the equipment our company runs is top of the line and no more than 2 years old. For speakers we use Bose and Turbosound equipment, which gives your venue crystal clear sound, and as much volume as you desire. Disappointment is the last word that will come to mind when you are on the dance floor, guaranteed. Regarding lighting, we use Chauvet LED lighting for the dance on a truss system, that, once chained together, go with the beat of the music. All of our Djs use Mac products for computers, wether it be a MacBook Pro or an iMac.
